Best Practices
The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) accredits degree-granting educational institutions in the North Central region, including Missouri. The HLC has issued a document entitled, “Best Practices for Electronically Offered Degree and Certificate Programs,” which the Academic Council has encouraged all to review.
The HLC has also released a document entitled, “Statement of Commitment by the Regional Accrediting Commissions for the Evaluation of Electronically Offered Degree and Certificate Programs,” detailing a set of commitments aimed at ensuring high quality in distance education.
